We had a brilliant time here. A beautiful property with lots of history, beautifully decorated, great kitchen. And lots of fires - both in and out. Highly recommended.

Tudor-style house with snow-covered roof and yard, surrounded by a wooden fence and trees, under a blue sky.

This house was amazing! A real historic gem inside and out, contemporary comforts and really old English. The most comfortable beds, log fires and big social areas with TV & Pool table to keep the kids happy.

Hosting an art event in the beautifully preserved farm barns whilst using the house to accommodate guests & entertain - perfect.

One of the best AirBnB's I have ever stayed at - matched the photos and more. Our host was so incredibly friendly during check in and made the whole experience as easy going as possible. The house is absolutely massive too, with multiple entertaining spaces inside and out. The area is surrounding the house both in Painters Forstal and the wider Kent area was also incredible charming, making us feel like we had the quintessential English countryside experience

Top Airbnb accommodation - fabulous historic house, really cosy and echo everything previous guests have said about it - just a gorgeous place all round. Les is a top host, couldn't fault him at all - excellent in his communication from start to finish, very relaxed and friendly, flexible on check in and checking out which was really appreciated. Lovely surprise to find variety of treats on our arrival. Lovely 6.25 mile walk from the house into Faversham and back. Very quiet location. Highly recommend this Airbnb (probably best we've stayed in) Great host!

Les’ place was the perfect Kentish landing for my American family coming to the UK over the US Thanksgiving holiday. A perfect setting to host meals for our entire family, cozy up by the massive fires, play pool, and generally enjoy country living.
Les is the perfect host, and we look forward to returning! A fantastic stay!

“A brilliant house in a great location. The downstairs space is endless, with log fires everywhere. Les, the host, gave us great info on pubs/restaurants and walks & also replied very promptly. The pub at the end of the road well worth a visit. Thoroughly recommend this house for a group. The whole house & area has a great feel. Thanks Les! Xx”

“We have just returned from a three day stay at Painters Farm; what an amazing place. The house is so unique and also very comfortable. Les, the host, was fantastic - so welcoming and all of the extra touches (fresh bread and wine when we arrived!) were totally unexpected and very generous. The bedrooms are all different, very quirky but with incredibly comfortable beds and pillows. Masses of hot water and every amenity you could ask for. The area is beautiful and we had some good trips - including taking the train to Whitstable and walking back to Faversham - a ten mile walk which meant we earned several trips to great pubs. A great find - we will definitely be back!”

“What a beautiful, welcoming house! Our smaller children loved it for running around playing hide and seek in the daytime, and the adults loved it for all places to sit by the fireside (spoiled for choice!) when they finally went to bed. Lovely walks straight from the house and loads to do nearby. We would highly recommend it, and we usually moan about everything!"
